Merely Territory

Ensnared
between two feuding parties.
insolence,
complexities,
acrimony,
suffocate my being.
for situated in the middle
I remain.
I am neutral territory with ambivalent sides--
material verses inexplicable love.

manipulation--I've only learned from the best.
confusion,
guilt,
betrayal,
following my every move.
